Made the upper control arms after finally deciding on a design. The arms still need to be reinforced along the joints that meet the chassis, this is them about 50% finished. Still its good to get back on Lotus after not touching it for a couple months, being too wrapped up in the Z.
The spare as a placeholder to show ride height and clearance test with the turbos
Looks like there will be about 3" of travel in both directions before binding.
Im thinking pushrod suspension will be the only way since there isn’t enough room for coilovers to pass through the control arms with a decent angle to meet the chassis.
Off to “ design” things.

How much camber and caster are you planing to get up front? Also, how wide of a tire will it run?

Caster is around 10° right now but its adjustable back to 0 with shimming. Don’t know what sort of specs will work s o the arms are all adjustable.

What material did you end up using for the control arms?

1" .120 ERW, the Lcas are 1.5" .120 ERW with a 3/16 steel plate. Uppers are 5/8 heim for the knuckle with 1/2 at the chassis while the lower is 5/8 at the chassis and a rav4 balljoint bolted to the plate.
Would’ ve like to go DOM but didn’t know exactly was needed and the local metal supply only had ERW.
